Playing in our away shirts in home game?

I’m sure the game that Granada has planned to televise had been called off due to snow. Middlesbrough turned up with their kit but shirt advertising on tv wasn’t allowed at that point, hence the dash over to old Trafford for their similar red kit. I think Middlesbrough s advert at the time was Datsun Cleveland
 
Was at this game.. I’m pretty sure the 85/86 Spurs game at Maine Rd, the ref took the players off and asked City to lend Spurs our red and black away kit. Our new home shirts were so pale blue. Billy McNeil said no-one wears our shirts except us, so we wore our red and black away shirts.
