Congratulations America, you officially have returned to superb TV entertainment!! After the ending of the season's "Game of Thrones" and "The Borgias" I wondered what the hell I was going to watch until "Dexter" and "Fringe" came back.

Well, the US have managed to come up with "The Newsroom" (which I did a thread on and it is remarkable. Well done Sorkin!) and now "Political Animals" with the effortless Sigourney Weaver as the main protagonist.

It is clearly based on the Democratic Party and, in particular, Hilary Clinton with lots of puffy pillows to pad out the character, her family and surroundings.

I am enamoured with US TV at the moment!

Funnily enough I've just read about Sorkin sacking off the writers.

I wonder why...?

The series is pretty hard hitting with its condemnation of American 'intelligence', but why not challenge the status quo?

Has Sorkin sh*t his load at the backlash??
