Sorry but I don't accept that romero is "unlucky" to be giving that penalty. In fact i've seen him time and time again jump/slide/kneel with his arms flailing about, every time. He is not disciplined when blocking, he is lazy and he rightly gets punished for his laziness.

Compare this to ruben who ALWAYS has his arms in a natural position when blocking/sliding. ALWAYS. this is the difference between a top defender and a lazy one.

I was surprised by the idea that this was some harsh modern interpretation, he's got his arm up to make himself bigger. Feels like a stonewaller in old money and people have invented rules about "close to the ball" to talk themselves out of it.
