We are running a day out at the races to raise money for our pub footy team, we’ll make a few quid off each seat sold and put a couple of football cards round, has anyone had experience of raising money on similar trips and any tips for say a sweep or raffle to help raise more money. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Just thinking back with those football cards, when you held it up against a light you could make out the winning team from the back of the card. The fucker who use to run it years ago would either have first pick or one of his mates, we actually had to colour in the area on the back with a black marker. I dare say there different now.
you can only raise so much money on a coach trip as people are forking out on food ,bets drink, ect .All the lads on the trips probably go in difeerent pubs .as long as those pubs don't have a football team ask the landlord id they can do a raffle or race card in the pub .When City play Liverpool or the rags do a sweep for first goal scorer and the score .Christmas round the corner see if the team member swill put some stuff in to make a hamper then raffle it All the best and good luck
