R.I.P MIKE DOYLE

Grew up with mike doyle in city promotion team of 1966, great wing half who went back to be an england center half
Hated rags with a passion, watch him on the 74 derby law goal
stolling off surounded by bay city roller rags.
Remember going to bill foulkes testamonial at the swamp usually tame affairs not for doyley city won 3 - 0 think doyle scored but celerbrated every goal and contested every tackle.

Really, really shocked and saddened by this news.

I had no idea he was ill!

I was lucky enough to see him from 1970 onwards - no one was more committed to seeing City succeed.

Had a few quick words with him at Eastlands where he used to sit in the Colin Bell lower - class guy. Very humble and unassuming.

He will be missed, and not just by City fans - I think our quiet neighbours will also respect him...
