Ruben is a man of mystery and we really should know more about his role.With Platt, it was clear he was trusted by RM because he spoke Italian as well as English and could do the interviews if Bob had had enough of Sky or MOTD. But Ruben is said to speak Spanish only. Clearly he's trusted by MP because he's been his assistant for twelve years-at River Plate, Villareal, Real Madrid and Malaga. Mostly we see him in discussion with Pelle on the bench . As an ex-goalkeeper, he'll doubtless have given his opinion on Hart. He can be vocal at times: he bawled out Dzeko at Villa Park for not getting up and getting on with it after a foul which wasn't given by the ref; and at Upton Park he roared ' GOLAZO!' after the beautiful goal when Yaya bisected two Hammers defenders and Kun's backheel set up David Silva to feint and strike.
