Loafing as usual
Just took up (and had installed) a good offer from Virgin of 150+ TV channels, free landline calls, and 20mb broadband internet. All for £56 per month. That's just circa £6 a month more than I was paying them before for an absolutely atrocious sevice of about 20 TV channels, some free calls, and 4mb broadband.

The thing is, I can only refresh internet sites liike Bluemoon as fast as the server will allow, so it does seem a bit pointless.

Two questions:

1) Is this good value?

2) Is there actually any point in having 20mb broadband download speed?

i'm told that the speed of 20mb only applies up to your doorstep the copper wires kick in then
it's all a load of cobblers

Actually, I've tried it out on a few of those online "internet speed" sites, and it's true.

Quite extraordinary!
