I think the mancini song was first sang at west brom away when Balotelli scored 2 goals. We had just been on a 3 game losing streak, and all the press were laying into Mancini. If I remember, city fans were singing it from the beginning, and in some ways it was part of a turnaround that season as it showed most city fans had faith in Mancini.
