I do love a song that doesn't beat around the Bush. I think so much poetry has come into the popular song since Dylan and while I'm not anti that type of writing it can lead the listener to thinking what the hell is that about. For instance if you listen to say Desolation Row, you know you're in the presence of greatness but don't necessarily know what he refers too.
So without delving into the plethora of inane delights, what about songs that are brilliant but pure and simple in their message.
Here's on of my favourites. A true piece of art but to the point.
