McClaren would possibly be a downgrade on Hughes, which in itself is some achievement.
 
I applaud him. 7 v us, 5 v Chelsea, would be a very dull MOTD without him. Knew he wouldn't win the game anyway so what's the point in boring people to death, should get bonus points for entertainment. 3 0-0 draws today where nobody should have got any points.

It'll be a 9-0 thumping with the media puffing out their chests that the rags always come good 2nd half of the season and will pick off failing city week by week.

I have no sympathy for Stoke. Hated them since I saw us get beat at Victoria ground many moons ago.
