i will be to pissed to drive the next morning and trains/buses will be non existent on a bank holiday , thanks sky.

Train services run as normal on New Years Day.

Didn't realise that. That's a big help. 7:30am train gets into Swansea at half 11 and there are a fair few afterwards.

The only days trains don't run are Christmas Day and Boxing Day, otherwise it's a normal service (unless of course it's a Sunday in which case a Sunday service would run). I'm a train driver and have had to go to work at 4am on many a New Years Day... :-(

Although ko time is poor, train on NYD only £36 return at the min, assuming this is a game city subsidise, could turn into a cheap away!
