The Bluemoon Song Cup 2023

Nothing against Dylan but I think he has always been somewhat overrated. His song structures are generally poor with a ludicrous approach of verse verse verse verse verse verse chorus verse verse verse verse verse verse verse chorus verse verse verse verse verse verse verse verse verse verse.

Not that much thought for production either.

Lyrically good, however Morrissey is music's greatest ever lyricist.

The Smiths also had arguably the greatest ever guitar player and coolest man on planet Earth.

The Smiths to win, even though HSIN isn't in their top 30 songs.
Your synopsis on The Smiths makes this post of the year.
I'll ask @Ric about you being elevated to Mod status.

'Kin hell @WickyWain - BH may need a well deserved break after this one.

But yes, maybe a slightly re-shaped with all originally nominated songs being excluded............. ;-)

Or, now that we all know the format, the top five or ten songs from this competition gain automatic entry into the next competition, then the rest of us chose songs to compete against the "strongest" songs around.

But I agree, this competition has been real good fun and the first thread I click on each day when I come onto the Off Topic forum.

As I said the other day in a post, thanks to and credit to @BlueHammer85
