The National Audit Office (NAO) has raised serious concerns with the Government's progress on its 10-year plan to overhaul the social care sector - saying that two years in, it has "delayed its plans to cap lifetime care costs and scaled back plans for reforming the system", and is "behind schedule even on its revised plans". Further, the NAO said, more than £1bn "of the £1.7bn committed to reforming the system in December 2021 has been diverted to other care priorities".

That had to pretend to tackle social care, nobody has for a reason, it is complicated but they will have got the mail readers wet

People are really stupid to be taken in by a cut in inheritance tax, they dont seem to see that it affects about 5% of the population , the rich people and the odd one caught up in it , people need to look further than the headline
