A Tassimo update as my previous model started acting the pan after many years active service.
No good having luke warm brews so we just drifted apart and went our own way.
Imagine my consternation last week when it was my birthday.

Now I am not one of those narcistics that crow on like.. ohhh look at me everyone it's my special day !
Who gives a fook and the best way to deal with them is to humour them and sing them a jingly song and let them dissipate in their own good time which they inevitably do.

You know the ones who go out to restaurants or on holidays and insist the staff know it's their birthday three weeks in advance and bake them a cake at the dinner table and then all the waiters gather round and crack one out.I keep it to myself as a special day is just that and more of a personal thing to me but were all different eh.

Anyway im drifting so it was my birthday last week and amongs my new presents was a new Tassimo machine.
It's the way the machine can create the potion like only a true Barrista can with all the froth steam and gurgling.
The smell is intense and fills the air with different notes of caramel machiato and lattes of every descrition.

The machine I have just proccured is different to the last one and has many improvements.
For a start you can overide the barcode and set your own volume for the drinks + or -
It also incorperates a britta water filter to take away imperfections in the water table.
Hard water areas can impare brews and to be avoided were possible.

Tassimo machine model T55 take a bow lad ....

The price is on special offer from Curries for £49.99.
But on top of this Tassimo are giving away 2 £10 vouchers to spend on pods so effectively the machine is now down to £29.99.
You can aquire it through the quidco portal and receive further deals so do your research.I didnt bother as it was a present.
Speaking of Quidco I just received some sterling service by receiving cashback authorised in only six weeks for a BT purchase of broadband.
Ninety pounds it was but I accelerated it by 15% to £103.50 by getting it in gift voucher format to spend at Debenhams.

So I ordered the pods from Tassimo and they just came this morning with free delivery if you spend over £35.
I got the full range so we can evaluate the market and make sure we are only drinking to our own taste buds and not advertising jingle.
The caramel Lattes and machiatos are incredible and taste like the real deal.
Costa coffee is wickedely good whereas the kenco I found to be harsh on the palate especially the new grande version.
The L'or Cappucino is intense and holds an excellent froth.
No good doing a full report at the moment as I have only had a quick wet as it's market day and have to bail out.

Without reservation and for the money I would recomend the T55 Tassimo aa an ideal addition to an office environement or a chaps play room.

More of a towel and shampoo afficendado ; )
We grin at the Premier inns but I have to say they constantly deliver the goods with luxury kingsize Hypnos beds what are guaranteed to send you off to a great nights sleep.

With a thousand pocket springs supporting a pillow-top mattress and a toasty duvet and brand aware room decor youve cracked it.
Unless you stay in the Liverpool one which was as rough as toast.
Normally we use them for aways days as they hit all the right notes at the right price.
We got our money back under the scouse sleep guarantee so no harm done.
It was the one near the dual carriageway.about a kilometre from town.

If you do like quality hotels Mr Sprout then there is a cracking deal on at the moment at the Big Blue in Blackpool for a two night break with all your scran evening meal three courses and free wine and upgrades to a super Delux room with late check out.

Back on Topic the Tassimos are top bannana .
The caramel Lattes are the best I have had anywhere.
I need to crac on with the 160 pods I have just bought in order to select my top two in each sector so you dont have to.
I will update the results when I have supped up.

Obviously the pressure output of a high quality Barrista machine is always going to edge it but pound per bucks this machine will please .

:) Your table reminded me of so many great nights spent in hotels with lifts to all floors on Blackpool backstreets.

Back to topic, I have been the proud owner of the Dolce Gusto variety of heaven in a cup producing machine...I found myself never going to bed due to the moorish nature of Cappuccino and being dosed up to the nines on 3 boxes a day

My table looks like a Blackpool backstreeter jobbie ? ....sniff ... ?
It's not real oak lad I will give you that but then again it never cost £20 a square inch now did it Mr Oak Furniture Land ?
I was going to get a new computer table and matching sideboard off them a few month back but they tried to have me over for a fat lad.
The computer desk was always half price at a perpetual £499 but never went up again.
Worse than CarpetRight for sale shenanigans the scallywags.

So we mended our computer table with hessian for circa £6 and not only is it now hard wearing but it's also aesthetically pleasing to the eye.
Anyway our Blackpool backstreet tables were bought from Littlewoods online 14 years ago ...incredible but true.
They are fibre board and fablon covered but pretty harwearing and the sideboard still looks like new.
You dont have to have Real Oak lad for it to last the test of time.
Anyway it was £170 for the sideboard and £160 for the table so pretty good value for money when you consider age.
And now that we have mended the computer desk I reckon good to go for another 5 years easy.

I am going to do a video walk through tonight on making a L'or Machiato Caramel Latte.
I am on the Crafty Hen tonight so will just do the one walk through as lattes and ale dont mix.
    Keep the faith !

Ps the Crafty Hen has just come on offer @four bottles for £6...
Best value out there at the moment for Vintage Ale.

These are absolutely fantastic. So is my strawberry huller and my strawberry slicer! Every time I visit La Poubelle France I make a beeline to the kitchenalia section of the nearest hypermarket to see what other kitchen gadgets are on sale and which I haven't got!

Put your pitchfork and flaming torch down our kid..Its progress and welcome to the 21st century ; )
Try not to think in the mindset of a niteen century Luddite and simply allow your imagination to run rampant expanding beyond a jar of Horlicks.

Here are the sums Mr Insa ..
I got 160 pods for £26.00 by buying canny from the main man in Holland.

The lattes and machiatos reduce to 8 cups because of the milk potion you add.
But I would calculate a costa coffee would be 18 pence a cup.
The taste is exactly like a costa shop but without the price.

The one I will do for tonight on video is the L'or caramel machainao latte and is a highly speccialised brew.
Even so the cost will only be 39 pence for a piece of unaldulterated luxury.
In a coffee shop they will spanl your bum for £3
If we work together we survive !
