Didn't Manchester City get relegated the season immediately after becoming First Division Champions in 1936-37?

I seem to recall an odd fact that even though City were relegated, they still scored more goals than all the other 21 teams in the First Division that season.

Unfortunately, correct.

We finished 13th in 1969 as Champions too. We won the FA Cup that year.

I think that happened to Arsenal in 1998. Someting happened like they went on a mad run from December to April and couldn't stop winning. Won the title early doors. Then lost a few and United only trailed by about four points in the end.

Doesn't stop them talking about us all the time though does it, they know we are not going anywhere any time soon so let them continue to spout, as that tells you all you need to know about that lot. We must be constantly on there mind.
