Third party ticket sites and City

I didn’t say that all 18-25 tickets had been verified as used by a genuine qualifying supporter. That would be impossible. I said there was zero evidence that any hadn’t.

Not sure what you class as hard evidence but for anybody doing even the most basic digging, there is plenty of evidence of third parties selling on tickets that come direct from the club.

I’ll even save you the trouble and show one example.

Official MCFC website - Sportworld website- tickets on the third tier of the East Stand for approx £180.

I have been to most home games this seasons but don’t have a ticket for West Ham. General admission tickets included in packages from £300. No thanks.

Is the season ticket waiting list still a thing? I remember them making a big song and dance about it around 10 years ago but haven't really heard anything about it since.

I imagine the club would get rid of season tickets altogether if they could.

I understand new Seasoncards haven’t gone on sale for several years so that surely means there’s no waiting list.

No, there is a season ticket waiting list to see the treble winners and the best team in the world, but the club have decided to stop selling season tickets and instead turn any lapsed season tickets into match day tickets. Their reasoning, to increase match day revenue, and to hell with the season ticket waiting list, and to the fans who have been waiting patiently for a chance to buy a season ticket for years.

The club is happy to have empty seats as long as they sell 80-90% of those 3rd party tickets at 200-300 quid. It's still more money than selling 100% of tickets at normal prices.

Unfortunately that is the bottom line. Although at treble or more of the price of GA tickets they don't even need to achieve anywhere near 80%.

They aren't concerned about working classes getting phased out or helping with the 'Emptyhad' jibes. Last year was embarrassing when the Liverpool game had been sold out all season only to release a load the day before the game. Clearly holding them back and wanting to badge them up as 'hospitality' only for Liverpool to be abysmal and not even qualify for the Champions League and therefore the 'premium' demand not being there.

Why am I not surprised?! Thanks for clarifying.

There isn't a waiting list, there are just many thousands of Cityzens desperate for the chance to get a season ticket.

No evidence ??? If Livetickets were selling tickets in the volume they do which some on here think they have bought illegally from supporters - they would be shut down tomorrow morning.

The money laundering charges alone would relate to multi millions over the number of years they have operated and the volume they sell.
Aren’t Livetickets one of the online marketplaces? They don’t sell tickets, they just act as an intermediary between buyers and sellers and charge a fee for acting as the agent:

Are tickets guaranteed? LiveFootballTickets.com works with a small network of ticket specialists to ensure reliable service. LiveFootballTickets.com provides a secure online marketplace only and is not the seller of, and does not take responsibility for, any tickets sold through the online marketplace.

Any ticket sold via this route is against the T&C’s I guess although quite simple for home games. I don’t know what the source of the tickets is although my guess would be it’s a mixture.

No, there is a waiting list, be it an official waiting list that we don’t 100% know about, as with everything at City it’s a secret, and the club will never confirm it exists. If there isn’t an official waiting list, the club know 1000’s of City fans would buy a season ticket if they were made available by the club. Whether official or unofficial, the club know they can sell as many season tickets as they want, but they have decided not to sell any lapsed, returned, ‘which I know about’, or new season tickets to the fans. It’s strange isn’t. All the big PL clubs have a season ticket waiting list, United, Liverpool, Arsenal, Spurs, Chelsea, etc, but City don’t? Hmmm.

That’s statement is just protection for clubs. It’s all bullshit.

They can’t act as an intermediary - the law states its illegal for any unauthorised person to sell a ticket for a designated football match.

If Livetickets were selling any tickets for any PL game unauthorised they would have their doors kicked in tomorrow and arrears made.

There is no point crying about it - every club is at it.

Any shining white knight PL club would knock millions off their Matchday turnover if they wanted to be the morally correct club
