It's inevitable really in a country where almost everybody owns a gun that the police will be twitchy and shoot first then ask questions later.
They were called by neighbours thinking there had been a break in, after the homeowners locked themselves out and had to force entry. When the police turned up the home owner heard a noise and approached the door with a gun so the police started blasting. They should have shouted they were the police, put the weapon down, open the door and identify yourself. The amount of bullets they discharged was insane.
