Following Bendtner's 90k EUR fine for displaying sponsored boxer shorts after scoring, UEFA have shown how tough they are and how seriously they take racism once again by punishing Lazio for their racist chanting at White Hart Lane:

<a class="postlink" href="http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/19669979" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/19669979</a>

Uefa have fined Lazio 40,000 euros (£32,500) following racist chanting by their fans during a Europa League game at Tottenham last month.
Jermain Defoe, Aaron Lennon and Andros Townsend were reportedly subjected to monkey chants during the Group J tie at White Hart Lane.
Lazio have three days to appeal if they believe the findings of the Control and Disciplinary Body are unfounded.

The fine, a whopping 10,000 EUR more than MCFC were fined for taking to the field late against Porto in the Europa League. It is alsoe 20,000 EUR more than Porto were find for similar behaviour thus showing Platini is determined to stamp out racism in football.

In statement earlier today, Platini said:

UEFA will not stand for any such behaviour as this. It is outrageous. It is disgraceful. It will not be tolerated. We will do everything in our power to stop responsible owners investing their own money in football clubs whilst encouraging leveraged buy outs.
