So, a draw suits them both down to the ground. Therefore, stalemate and borefest.
Jose will park his bus and Jurgen will put away the AC/DC records and get out his Carpenters albums.
We could do with Salah stubbing a toe, and De Gea breaking a fingernail to make it interesting.
Biggest game in the world this one

Overhyped to fuck.

Then it will be the biggest anticlimax since...

Well...

The reverse fixture earlier in the season.

Bet your friend now says he is the best player in the world? And denies ever saying any of the above? They have selective memories, just like when Maureen was a twa* and most negative manager on the planet, now he is the best manager in the world, just like no United fan ever admits to chanting for gpc to go, and just like when they thought we had Sanchez in the bag, he was over rated a bad apple an ego etc, lying scum the lot of them

A bit like when the League Cup was Mickey Mouse and small time for so many years. This was especially so in 2014 and 2016. In 2014 we didn't win a double because the League Cup wasn't a 'proper' trophy. Last season it miraculously morphed into a major trophy along with the Europa Johnstone's Paint Trophy and the Community Shield. It once again reverted to being Mickey Mouse after we won it this season.

Amazing, isn’t it?

I remember when they used to say something similar about the European Cup Winners Cup. A Rag mate used to routinely call it an egg cup. Then 1991 came along, he went to the final in Rotterdam, which they won - beating the mighty Pecsi Munkas, Wrexham, Montpellier, and Legia Warsaw en route to the final where they faced a depleted Barcelona - and all of a sudden it was the best thing ever and a trophy worth winning.

Several months later they faced reigning European Cup holders Red Star Belgrade in the European Super Cup - back then it was played over 2 legs home and away but because of the war in Yugoslavia it was played over 1 leg. However, instead of being a one-off game at a neutral venue (like it is these days), it was played at Old Trafford. United won in front of a massive crowd of around 22,000 and their fans started singing "We are the champions, champions of Europe". You really couldn't make it up.
