I love the fact that the furthest they have gotten in the CL since the GPC left is when Moyes was in charge. Time to bring him back? I hear he might be available soon and I'm pretty sure his original contract has a couple of years left on it...

The rags are really in a shit or bust situation of their own making.

They need to decide what path to go down and they need to do so quickly or else they face a very tough future.

On one hand they can decide to stick with Peg, if they do he will want more money and will continue to play the turgid shite that has been served up all season, sure they may well pick up the odd cup but the players will start to turn on him as will the fans. Add to this that his time at the rags is following a familiar path that usually leads to him leaving after 3 years. If they go down this path and invest heavily in the side and he does fuck off then the next guy who comes in needs to have a similar approach to Peg.

Or they could decide to get rid of Peg and identify a manager who plays a more attacking style of play, by doing this a number of the existing playing staff would need to be offloaded and new more suitable players bought in. This would take time and substantial funds, given that they are responsible in a big way for the way transfer fees have escalated in recent years this would be quite funny. If they had any long term strategy then tis is what they should do.

There are some tough decisions to make at the swamp and it could all get very messy, I suspect we will see him being given another year but it will blow up in their faces.

But..but...but it's not the united way. The Chosen One. Cut from the same cloth. In the DNA. Not like other clubs.
