What is the actual rule about this, I was told that it was to do with not displaying your shirt sponsors name. It certainly can't be anything to do with hurting the opposition or offending the crowd.
Just suppose you had a T-Shirt under your club shirt that said "FIFA, UEFA, FA, Slur and Twitcher all corrupt as fuck" that you never intended to display and you got a head injury that bled all over your top. The referee comes over and says "remove that top", would you then be up on an FA charge because of the afore mentioned message?
