Vieira was marginally man of the match for me last night, he had a great game. (Silva was obviously excellent too).

Every move started with him, nothing went past him. Set up the first goal, and countless other chances. Was involved with the third goal, his first touch was very assured. Don't write him off yet.

He has been slowly getting better this season. It has reminded me of Dietmar Hamann's experience at city. He was utter dross first season but once he got settled his class shone through.

Could be an important squad player for us this season. Especially in europe.

it was the best game i've seen vieira have for us. looked back to his old self. I guess the pace suited him though and he worked great with De Jong
