I thought of that line last night, during Steve McManaman's scathing comments on all things City in the first half.
The days of McManaman, Mills et all were the days of mercernaries, what we have now is some of the best players in the world, top professionals motivated by their desire for trophies. They would be well paid wherever they play and they chose City!
City players may be extremely well paid, but so were McManaman and Mills comparatively. I know who I'd rather watch!
