Why are we so suspect to counter attacks?

We replaced Fernandinho with a 2 legged donkey, get used to it. Should at least beat Burnley every year though.

just after their first goalThey showed a graphic on Sky at half time of both teams "average position" on the pitch, all of spurs were in their own half, other than Dias and Laporte all our were in their half, and those 2 were pretty much on the half way line, when you play that way, you're one shoddy pass/mistake from a one on one with your keeper.
It's actually quite simple to see why.

Because our manager fails to adapt to other teams & he signed Plodri instead of a defensive midfielder that can cope with transitions.
This team needs a DM like Kante, Rice or Hojgberg but Pep will target slow, unathletic midfielders like Jorginho, Rodri, Busquets that can pass sideways a lot because they remind of himself during his playing days.

Cos peps tactics are fucking shit.
the amount of times I saw walker pressing their fullback was ridiculous. It’s going to come unstuck against any team with a semi decent attack.

Because of our playing style.
Its always going to be our weakness.
Every style has its weakness and ours is and will always be: counter attacks.
It was like this at Barca and Bayern too.
People need to get used to it frankly.

Would be a useful start, it's a bit "back to basics" but it should work for a bit, getting defenders to defend might also help.Left footed winger to play on the left & right footed winger to play on the right.

Counters, most teams when playing against us, play in behind our full backs and with either quick inter passing as our 2 central defenders are left woefully short as they back track. The second option a la Maxim and Traore, is pick a defender and go straight at hoping for ball to break, 50 50 and directly into the box.
Neither Ferni or Rodri is the whole answer. This has evolved 2017/18, new football, opposition teams had the mindset of not getting caned. 2018/19. Little more confident you might get something but still we were able to unlock teams, run them into the ground and early goals. Last season and this so far still getting lots of possession, generally a lighter press, than 2 seasons when we won the league, when we haven't got it, but less able to get on the score sheet early and regular. Everything in front of the massed ranks of reasonably comfortable defenders.
PEP's philosophy, the opposition knows how he is going to play, we have the best squad in the league, but don't vary very much. Stretford away Carabao last season and the odd Champs Lge with success and some failings also.
