Xavi...

More down to Guardiola tbh, who pretty much just was Xavi in his playing career, so when he took over Barca he instantly made his mini me the center of the team and the rest is pretty much history. Now everyone accepts that you can have a midfielder who doesn't need to charge all over the place, constantly attempt hollywood passes and ping 30 yarders in.

Brilliant player, shame to see him reach the end of his game! He was the embodiment of tiki-taka football at Barcelona, controlled the game really well and allowed others around him to roam freely!

Imagine having him and Zidane in the same midfield 10 years ago!

We may do at City but not generally in England. How many pundits have predicted Milner to be 'the signing of the summer'?

In England blood and thunder are still desirable attributes. City will change that. May take a few years but reading about our junior sides it seems we a favouring ball playing technicians over the traditional big lads for their age.

Xavi was wonderful.
