Swansea - Post match thread

People will focus about his goals but his passing really impressed me. He could dropp deep and was comfortable doing first time passes to runners getting in behind. And he did it several times.
And holding up those high balls

If Jesus can stay injury free, defenders are going to be shitting themselves. He seems to like the physicality too.
Pity Kun couldn't stick that away, it would have boosted his confidence too.
Onwards and upwards.

Bein sports advising us to not get carried away with Jesus. The last city player to get 3 goals in first 2 premier league starts?

Wanchope! And smeichel said martial made a similar start with rags but look what happened to him? Bollox!

Aguero came on and could have created 2 clear chances.

The first when he could have passed to the open wide player for a simple cross into the box he shot.

Second, the header could have been placed easily for Jesus for a 3rd but he chose to head the ball from an awkward angle. He needs a team where they can just set him up. He is just too selfish.

Not taking anything away from Swansea but it really did look as though we slowed down in that second half, was it us taking the foot off the gas thinking the job was done or were our players genuinely tiring as the game went on? Yaya looked like he was running on the spot his legs were moving but he wasn't making up any ground and it wasn't just him who looked like that at times, players were taking longer to decide which pass to make which made it easier for them to limit the options, often passing to the closest man when the better option would have been the next man further away to move their defence around and give us width.

This could all be down to some of our players tiring so Pep should sub players like Yaya(you can understand with his age and the amount of game time he's getting recently), it's a shame we have limited options at left back because I was already thinking Clichy looked like he had a mistake in him, I don't know how you can point the finger at Stones who simply didn't get the block right when it was Clichy who should have been stronger in the tackle to stop that move early on in it's tracks.

Here we go again

Which one?

The only winner we scored.

Silva ran across the path of Sterling's shot which could have easily been argued to have interfered with play as it left Cech partially distracted.

You get some of those ones (think Tiote) others you don't. Ultimately it falls on the linesman

Brilliant first 45, woeful second.

I wonder if these older players are absolutely fucked player at the pace of those young forwards.....would explain the abject second half at least
