Raheem Sterling - 2016/17 performances

The commentary for Kelechi's goal against Bournemouth earlier in the season was infuriating at the time but hysterical in retrospect. The one and only example of a player getting criticised for an assist that I know of.

I don't know who it was because I can't find the footage but what an utter dong.

Yeah I wasn't being funny or anything.

I just always thought he was black. I have a mate with fairer skin than him who identifies as being black (mainly to get away with questionable clothing choices if you ask me).
 
Fairly average today if we're honest. Still decisive with the assist as always, although officially he isn't credited with it. Seems to happen to Sterling more than anyone else that.
 
This lad gets better and better. He's looking a real steal at 44m. But the slightly annoying thing is he could and should be even better. Today on two or three occasions he got in to really good positions but chose the wrong option, and missed the pass or chose the wrong one. But he's getting better make no mistake. Loving having him and Sane ripping into the opposition. The future is very bright regardless of what this season brings.
 
He wasn't at his best today, but he still contributed. What I like about him is his intelligence, he's always in positions to create room for someone else. He came in field to start the build up for the second goal. Does stuff like this all the time.
 
His final ball into the box has improved massively. He's one of our most productive players when he gets into a dangerous position. Still feel his finishing let's his overall game down sometimes but we don't see that all to often and the rest of his game is incredible for his age.
 
Wasn't really sharp today. Quite often didn't try to get behind his man.
His crosses and balls besides the assist were not good enough.
Not a big problem to have a weaker performance though.

He also has to attack the far post much quicker when the ball is coming in from the opposite wing!
Plenty of chances could be picked up there.

Anyway he is doing really well, just go ahead Raz.
 
Was arguably the poorest performance Raz has put in so far this season. Not for want of trying but everything was off today except the cross for the goal. Still nobody's perfect!
 
Oviedo is winger who has been converted to LB.

Raheem faced a tough challenge to run past him and he couldnt.

Its easier to run past defender than wingers, and thats why he had a poor game yesterday by his standard.

No, that's definitely not it as both Raheem and Sané destroyed Oviedo in the Everton home game (when Oviedo was at Everton), and he's generally known as a poor defender.
