Semi-final draw: City v Arsenal 3pm Sunday confirmed

Basically a home game for me. One stop on the tube... may have a party before hand...

now you have put out that you may have a partyyyyy before game, xspect plenty from here to turn up, make sure you have plenty of drinks ready

You're right of course, the 2011 semi final was one of the most emotional football matches I've ever attended.

But the atmosphere around the ground before and after the game (and at the motorway service stations there and back) was absolutely poisonous.

I want them out tonight.

I'm with you, that semi final was ruined for me when a group of rags tried to grab my bag and I had to be rescued by two policewomen who grabbed one each and told me to get on my way as quickly as possible.

Since then I've booked into an hotel opposite Wembley for the weekend rather than stay with my friends and risk travelling on the tube!!

I enjoyed it tbh. Depends on your disposition. had we got beat though it would have been terrible. It's Derby Day magnified by 2 or more.

Pretty good summing up. Shittest draw would be the Rags so that's what I am expecting.

Lucky Arsenal are the last team to beat us in an FAC semi so if omens are your thing, they'd be best avoided at this stage.

Quite simply, winning the FAC will be tough for any of the sides left but someone has to win it and it's about time we made amends for Wigan.

The thing with playing them is that for me they will know they are the weakest footballing team left but they are more organised now and so would set up very negatively with the aim of hitting us on the break. If we had an off day like against Stoke then they could sneak a win. Id prefer to avoid them as I can't relax watching any Derby so would prefer one of the others as would enjoy the day more. I hope they get beat tonight.

As many have said 2011 was one of best matches. I was spat at 10 times walking up Wembley Way Made it all the better beating them. They hated getting beat that day.
Why not give them another horrific day to remember and one for us to celebrate. I would love that day over again. A risk of course. Still what is life about.
Either way cannot see them beating cheslski at the Bridge with no known striker.
In this order I would take
Aresenal
Utd
Spurs
Chelsea

that was one of the best games I've ever been to. every one around me seemed to be drunk aha. the noise we made that day was something else. ill always remember not seeing any unitedd coaches from manchester and the only ones i saw were from wolverhampton and birmingham aha. i might get the train this time though as the coach is a pain i nthe arse.

Agree about the Rags.

Spurs might be the only team that doesn't try and play us on the break.

I think Spurs would be the easiest draw especially if Kane is injured.

Be a lot more difficult to press on the big wembley pitch as they have discovered in the Champs League. Which is in contrast to Arsenal who suit big pitches because of there tecnically gifted players and Chelsea who would defend deep and be even more dangerous on the break due to the additional space.

As for United trying not to think about it but think they will win tonight and we will face them at some point.

I'd like Arsenal in the semi and if we can beat them I'd love to see a rematch of 1981 with a different result this time!

My mate did that in 2011. The hotel was full of obnoxious United fans

Anyone but Spurs.

Yesterday, the missus said, "I hope we don't play City. If you beat us, it will be unbearable. If we win, you won't allow me to enjoy it.".

My response: "Yeah"

Luckily they've not managed to find me yet!! ;-)

I did get Liverpool fans when we beat them on penalties, but they were great and would have bought me drinks all night, shame I don't drink very often I could have been well drunk that night. They were great.
The other times I have gone out with friends, away from Wembley. :-)

This reminds me of the euphoria of beating the Chavs in a semi final then the awful let down of losing the final to relegated threatened Wigan and getting pissed wet through in leaving the ground. Still not got over that game when our team did not turn up and the atmosphere, due to the rumours of Mancini being sacked, was pretty acrid. Add to that Zaba being sent off and a last minute goal. What a day. Typical City lived that day.

Me either that was a bad day, hearing about Mancini when in the greenman was a very sad moment

Great refereeing to send off Herrera from Oliver. Need more decisions like that for persistent hacking Silva gets too.
