Sturgeon wants another referendum

I was thinking 'why would Spain veto it' but yeah the Catalan thing, makes perfect sense.

So really it was always a non starter, why did she even bother with all this nonsense then, argh bloody politicians!

Just out of interest how much do we reckon Scotland would have to pay if it was to stay in the EU on a weekly basis?

£350m probably now. The Brexiteers have abandoned that figure won't be long before we get it.

Just been on BBC

The overwhelming majority would welcome Scotland.

"They will be welcomed with open arms"

Spain will not be allowed to derail it. They might want to, but I want a weekend away with Angelina, my money us in neither coming true.

The report will be repeated on BBC all day channel. Check it out if you want to see how the EU are actually feeling.

Dream on. Look I know things haven't gone your way of late but at some point, feet back on planet Earth and the realities of what that means is going to have to happen.

"Spain won't be allowed to derail it" pmsl.

She knows she needs assurances from the EU to win any referendum. Contrary to opinion she's a clever politician, she won't call it until she knows she has those assurances.

You've mentioned the first part about doing all the fighting a few times so yes you have some cheek
Yes I am only assuming it but you're not gonna survive with just fish
Like I said I either read it somewhere or just dreamt (I do have weird dreams)

Of course I'm
Not saying all the fighting. I was being slagged about being cannon fodder and replied
Yes because we do all the fighting, that was a retort. Not a statement if fact. I did say factually that per head if pop we took most casualties and agreed we were fodder.

We have much more than fish.

What are the chances of her getting them?

I should note this is not something i have a strong view on, if Scotland does want to leave then fair do's it is their call. I can imagine hassle over who would have to pay for a hard border line then with us saying ' you wanted to stay in the EU, your paying for it' kinda thing.

Watch the news. It's what was reported.

I don't know, but she must believe it's possible, because it's the only way she can win, and she won't call a referendum she doesn't think she can win. As for the border, by the time it happens there will be a precedent in Ireland and it will probably be the same arrangement.

That is true. An independent Scotland will not be able to remain within the EU as they will veto it. By all means apply to join they have said but they will not agree to a newly independent nation just staying in because it gives a green light to the Catalans.
Spain won't just veto it by itself if the rest of the EU is happy enough. Personally i think it's fair enough we'd have to reapply.

Not only the Catalans don't forget the Basques in Spain and France, theres a growing swell for independence in Bavaria, Wallonia in Belgium, the Northern League in Italy the list is endless, Sturgeon and that fat fuck Salmond are living in a fantasy world and don't realise they are being petted on the head like a naughty dog by Junker and Merkel

In which case you'd need to accept the Euro, for which you'd need 3 consecutive years with a deficit of 3%. That deficit is currently 9.5%.

You forget the salient point.

They are not sovereign states. Scotland is.
