FA Cup Semi Final vs Arsenal at Wembley

Very busy month. I expect 16 points from a possible 21 and a Wembley win.

When I first saw the schedule of Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea, I said I would take five points from that. That still stands. Four would be ok.

Anyone else think winning this would pretty much nail down top 4?

We win this and even if we lose to Chelsea and the rags, our performances against smaller sides will see us through comfortably.
Yep, that's why it's a must win for me.

We need to start this game on the front foot, and not like the game away against Monaco. If we do start the game against Arsenal on the front foot then we stand a very good chance of winning this game. However I am afraid that we will start this game slowly if we do and Arsenal score 1st then I can't see us turning it around. We need 4 points out of the next 2 away games. We need to seal a top 3 finish before the end of the season, so that pep maybe able to give a couple of the younger players an outing before the end of the season.

Equal priority to finishing top 4 is making sure we finish above Rags, again. Losing at home to them is unthinkable.

I really, desperately want us to beat Chelsea.

Even if it changes nothing in the title race or top 4 race, I just want us to win because we are better than them. We had them on toast for an hour at the Etihad, and we are a better team 1v1. They may well be better over 38 games, but 1 on 1 we're better than them and I really want a result to point to that.

Very good chance we play them in the FA Cup final too, so it would be a massive mental victory to be 1-1 for the season going into that game and not 0-2.

I'm fairly confident we'll win at home, but I think if we just win this one, we can focus on things like that, and the FA Cup and not worry about top 4.

Like when we played arsenal at home and went 1 down?

Have a feeling we'll beat them 4-0. Totally dominating, only for the press to ignore this as Wenger tells them his decision post match.

Our league record at Arsenal is absolutely dire. One win in the last 42 years I think.

First time I've ever seen that, thanks.

No worries mate. Full details of every game the club have ever played in there, including line-ups, attendances, video highlights (where available) etc. Also every player to have represented the club and so on.

Don't even want to look at it, the very thought is depressing. However, our results recently are a bit better I recall a win and a draw
in the league and a cup win. Agree that we need to start on the front foot but the main hallmark of this season is the uneven
level of performance both within and between games. This was particularly true in the games against the other top teams and of course
the sleep walking that went on in the first half away to Monaco.

Arsenal will be desperate for a win and a big performance the best way
to prevent this is to establish an early foothold and try to get the crowd on their backs and induce panic and fear into a team very low on confidence.
This really is a game that is very likely to be decided by who scores first.
