Its quite a small list, plus the fact that he's better than Caballero with the ball at his feet means that its not as easy to scientifically measure his skills

Hence me hoping both Willy and Bravo are out if Ederson arrives.I dont want Gunn pushed to one side as i think he will definitely come back to haunt us.

This is why people shouldn't be exposed to stats - because they use them terribly.

Pass completion percentage has absolutely no bearing on the quality of passes. Buffon is better with his feet than Bravo? That's "Ramsey is better than Silva" levels of ludicrousness.

But Ramsey might be better at some not very important aspect of the game than Silva. Surely Buffon is the better overall keeper - stats or no stats.

I'm going to compare Bravo's 2 years at Barca to Buffon's entire career, I mean the absolute gall to insinuate that Buffon, who in the last 5 seasons combined has completed 80.8% of his passes, is even fit to lace the right boot of Bravo and his 74.2% is ridiculous because it doesn't factor in the objective quality of all of them..Which I, Damocles, obviously can.

How can you say he is better than everyone based on watching him play? you can comment on his own abilities but to say he is better than everyone else suggests you have seen everyone else. Just watch our team when he, or Cabs gets the ball. They move into space at the back including pulling back to 6 yards from the line of appropriate - that's why we are able to pass out. Then watch a recording of a game last year - totally different approach. Hence you can't even compare against Hart last year because the tactics and structure of team set up is totally different (watch England where we are also trying to play from the back and hey presto - our keeper from last year can play from the back). Only thing that can be compared is ability to save and in the 40 years I have been watching I can only think of Margetson and Tracey that come close to this guys incompetence that he has shown in a City shirt and even they used to save shots now and again. Especially because of the luxuries of the players we now have, he looks as out of place as an adult at a Justin Bieber concert

Really, different teams have different approaches? Well I never.

I said Bravo was second to none because I don't see any keeper more adept at playing football than he is. Some of the passes he pulls off the vast majority of keepers wouldn't even dream of attempting, they'd shit themselves and boot it long.

In terms of shot stopping ability he has been well below par this season but to suggest his passing isn't all that is ludicrous.

This is from Leon Britton earlier in the season: “The keeper is like an extra player. You think you’ve got them, you press them right up the pitch and then he comes to the edge of the box, drops a shoulder and beats a player in his area.

“There was one incident in the first half where we chased him down and he clipped the ball over all of us to Kevin De Bruyne, who was the free man on halfway. And suddenly we were one against three.

“Something like that makes them very hard to play against. They are definitely one of the best sides I have faced in the Premier League."
 
I have no problem with him staying another season. just as long as he doesn't play in anything but the league cup. if he then shines we'll get a better fee the following summer. right now we'd get like 2m tops.it will be the same with Mangala , we'll get a fraction of what we paid. shit happens , you move on.

Pretty much the same with every player we sign who we don't want.

I hope he doesn't play against Arsenal. Bet he will though.

Cup keeper when Willy takes the shirt and as soon as willy is dropped then he shouldn't be?

He should and I hope he does play against Le Arse, the fall out on here will be mind blowing before a ball is even kicked as per every match day

No Karen. The fall out is hysterical posters not having a clue as to why x was picked over their favourite y. Bravo is a good keeper (I know you don't want to accept that and that's fine), but Willy was dropped recently for a reason

I agree with this. He was dropped for a reason. Pep has finally come to his senses and sold bravo down the river. He knew he'd fuck up making it impossible for pep to pick him for the cup semi.

Willy being dropped after 1 mistake does not in any way make bravo a good keeper,the day he makes a save is the day i will not get on his back,instead of moaning about posters in the prematch thread you should offer your own opinion on the team
 
Guardiola's decision with playing Bravo against Hull on Saturday was with the semi final in mind. If we do lose the Semi Final then the rest of the team should get some of the flak as well.
