So what min in the game will Kun get sent off ? 3 match ban takes him out the semi final and the derby , I wouldn't put anything past the FA/Prem/Pigmol/Sky alliance best play Nacho !

Would not disagree with that assessment. The only proviso would be that I hope Fernandinho has his passing boots on. Struggles to pick 'em at times. I see him and Delph as a bit too similar to pair them. They are both high energy and add some physicality but not great with creativity. Yaya can pick a pass like no other (most of the time).

Delph is good at passing the ball quickly to KDB or Silva, he just offers no real attacking passing threat himself - but I don't think he needs to.

All season whenever we've played fast, no one has been able to keep up, but for some reason we just can't or won't raise the tempo for long enough.

I can't see Yaya starting in this game, Southampton are too mobile and active in midfield for Yaya to make an impression in the game, we need legs and tackles in the middle so i can see Delph and Dinho getting the nod.

I think you're right. Reckon we'll line up like this:

Bravo
Zabaleta
Kompany
Stones
Clichy
Delph
Fernandinho
Silva
Sterling
Sane
Aguero

Delph did ok as an attacking threat on Saturday. He is one of the few who is happy to put his foot through the ball and attempt a long range shot.

He's OK at getting into the box and injecting some momentum into attack, but he isn't an attacking threat from his passing which is actually what I said. He just pushes it forward to the next line of players - but that's OK in my book.

Note to self: must read posts properly before replying. I agree his passing looks limited in comparison to Kev and Dave. The thing with Delph though is we don't really know what we have as he has played so little under Pep. I have been impressed in the last couple of games and he certainly looks like a useful squad member if he can keep his performance at this level.

I am confused as to what is going on with Yaya, he came back revitalised now he looks like his legs have gone again, is it mental or physical, can't make the guy out, but he is a gamewinner when he is on his game and a complete liability when he isnt

Pretty simple mate,

He is fully aware he ain't getting a new contract and no longer has the heart for it. It does make you wonder what his intentions were when he was putting in 100%. In all likelihood he was playing for the contract, but surely he should still be running his arse off even though it is clear he wont still be here

Navas has been garbage for years, and is leaving; but I appreciate the effort he is putting in despite it being so obvious he wont be here next year

Would like us to put down a bit of a statement ahead of the semi. 4-1 City.

This is going to be a really tough game, Southampton are well drilled under Puel and Gabbiadini should be fit for them.

Bravo
Navas Stones Kompany Clichy
KDB Fernandinho Silva
Sterling Aguero Sane

2-1 City.

I wonder if Guardiola will want to give De Bruyne and Fernandinho a chance to play themselves back into form ahead of the semi-final?

I think if we win this then we're in a very strong position for top four. Got a feeling we'll struggle though.
Wouldn't mind seeing Nando get half an hour in case we need him against Arsenal. Think De Bruyne will start over Silva for this one.

Drop Bravo (again)

Keep KDB on the bench as i think it will be an open game and it wont be southampton parking the bus

Play Vinnie and not Ottomendi

that would be a huge mistake if he did

silva makes us tick and controls a game...KDB doesn't, he just more adds the odd sprinkle here and there

I have the feeling this will be a draw and add to the already frustrating season. Funny how we're in the same position as last year, fightiing the same fourth place battle we did then against Utd.
