Woke up in a sweat last night - Dreamt Willy got injured in the warm up - Bravo till the rest of the season. - Phew! - a dream.
Would not disagree with that assessment. The only proviso would be that I hope Fernandinho has his passing boots on. Struggles to pick 'em at times. I see him and Delph as a bit too similar to pair them. They are both high energy and add some physicality but not great with creativity. Yaya can pick a pass like no other (most of the time).
I can't see Yaya starting in this game, Southampton are too mobile and active in midfield for Yaya to make an impression in the game, we need legs and tackles in the middle so i can see Delph and Dinho getting the nod.
That never really happened did it.Woke up in a sweat last night - Dreamt Willy got injured in the warm up - Bravo till the rest of the season. - Phew! - a dream.
Delph did ok as an attacking threat on Saturday. He is one of the few who is happy to put his foot through the ball and attempt a long range shot.Delph is good at passing the ball quickly to KDB or Silva, he just offers no real attacking passing threat himself - but I don't think he needs to.
All season whenever we've played fast, no one has been able to keep up, but for some reason we just can't or won't raise the tempo for long enough.

Note to self: must read posts properly before replying. I agree his passing looks limited in comparison to Kev and Dave. The thing with Delph though is we don't really know what we have as he has played so little under Pep. I have been impressed in the last couple of games and he certainly looks like a useful squad member if he can keep his performance at this level. He's OK at getting into the box and injecting some momentum into attack, but he isn't an attacking threat from his passing which is actually what I said. He just pushes it forward to the next line of players - but that's OK in my book.
