Perhaps we are spending that Messi money that has been accruing interest in our owner's pocket for the last few years!!

Time to cowboy up, people.

Just had a discussion with someone about it and they are bang on, we have to be quick and decisive this summer. The rest will follow if we make that initial statement.

All the top clubs have money to spend, and Pep gives us a real edge.

What if we don't use fullbacks? Instead, Sterling and Sane as wingbacks?

Problem solved. Maffeo and Zichenko return as backups for when we want to switch formations.

I'm more concerned where it would all work, especially with Jesus in the mix. Perhaps Sane and Sterling will have to play less guaranteed starts?

Every one of these names, barring Griezmann, can play across the front three.

It would be nice to get them in early so they are well bedded in. Can't help feeling Bravo might have done better if he'd arrived early. I appreciate it's not that simple. Presumably so many players dropping off the wage bill will help that, along with Pep?

Pep's never going to stick to one formation and he's never going to put himself in a position where he's got no fullbacks to play a back 4.

The fact is they can be cheap compared to everyone else. Newspapers are reporting that we expect to raise £80-100m in player sales not including Aguero. Add £60m for Aguero and a £150m budget and you've got near £300m to spend if need be.

Well if we do, then it will be tough. There just. Doesn't seem to be enough spots to keep Sanchez, Mbappe, Jesus, Sterling and Sane happy. We almost would have to want injuries that keep at least 1 out often.
