Kylian Mbappe

'Twould be much better if the lad went to The Dippers - and he could slot in as Jimmy's understudy, particularly in the left back berth. He's got all the pace yer'd need for that job. Klippity would have seen what Pep has done with Jesus N at full back.

In the meantime, we could go for another KM - Kylie MInogue!

I am.

Granted I've only seen six games which M'bappe has started this season, but in those I've found him to be overly panicky, a poor decision-maker and lacking in more complex passing skills. Jesus is a more complete striker on my opinion, and that's based off of me watching the same amount of game time as I have of M'bappe.

Jesus

I'm sure that this deal will come down to the financials now. Whoever offers the most out of us, United, Chelsea, Real, Barca and PSG will get their man. If Atletico sell Griezmann then maybe they will enter the race too...

Cannot see this transfer being a quick one. It'll be the Summer saga for sure with a ton of twists and turns.

If we do get him in, it'll be a bonus, and certainly wouldn't be a disaster if we got Sanchez and didn't get Mbappe.

But I'd love both alright.

I think Jesus is a more complete footballer, but Mbappe seems the better striker. Faster more athletic, and great shooting confidence and technique.

They both have the potential to be phenomenal players.

Ok but no chance he breaks world record.

Welcome back Sir,
Do you think if Pep were to contact him personally and try to persuade him like he did with Jesus, he then would at least consider about the move? or is it just Real or nothing kinda thing.

"J’ai une idée bien précise de ce que je veux faire, assure Kylian Mbappé à l’ancien milieu gauche de l’ASM. J’ai un plan de carrière, que j’ai fait depuis mon plus jeune âge. Ma famille, mon club aussi, m’a préparé à tout ça. Je sais ce que je veux faire. Je sais où je vais aller. Je ne laisserai rien me perturber."

I'll let Aguero translate you.
If City want him, they must persuade Monaco, not Mbappé.
But since RM (probably, didn't had any confirmation yet) start with 130 + 1 year loan.... The deal will be above this, not sure about City putting much more on the table to force Monaco. + the "1 year loan" part is probably priceless for Monaco.

OK, what's your thoughts on Silva? Is him joining Barcelona is set in stone already, or those were just rumours?

None at all.
There scoot from Barcelona at Louis II every week (for him and six or seven others players), they watch him since 2 or 3 years now, and the fact that he reminds the style of Messi (i'm not saying that he's/will ever be close to Messi's level...) with low gravity center, awesome ball driving close to his feet, great football IQ, play almost only with right foot etc make people think he will go to barca 100%.
I think he's a perfect match too, but it's not set right now, none at all. He's the closest one to leave this summer after Sidibe. 50/50 situation I'll say, he's just not sure that it's the perfect decision before World Cup.
But David Silva still got some years in front of him. If I were City, i'll all in for Fabinho or Mendy (Talking only about Monaco players). Everyone will be really expensive anyway, with Vadim Vasyliev. You can be sure that every Monaco players that don't want to leave [Like Lemar] will not be selled (except Sidibe).

For the quote, since Aguero doesn't Translate, Mbappé said : "I got a career plan since i'm really young... I know where I want to go, nothing will make me change my mind". He also said in this ITW that he want to let his name at Monaco before left, and at least play one year as a starter.

Cheers. I personally would have Silva from this Monaco side as a main transfer priority, as press-resistant mids are rare species and Silva seems to be a perfect No8 for City, though moulding him into this position could take some time.

Not sure about his defensive skills for a number 8, but Pep can do the work with him.
He's stunish as 10. He play as a right wing only because of Mbappe-Falcao and Fabinho-Bakayoko, they force a 4/4/2.

Pep's eights are not supposed to tackle anyway, just press and intercept, think about Iniesta. Probably Lemar could also move centrally, but I'm less sure about him.
Edit: Monaco seem to have personnell for a brilliant possession team. I know it sounds weird considering results, the coach has done a tremendous work , but some bielsista/cryuffista could make this team even better, don't you think so?

Yeah, I see what you mean. He can fit.

You're totally right.
In some games, we play without wingers thanks to Sidibe and Mendy 20 lungs. In those games, Silva and Lemar continually play as 8/10.

I think Jardim does an awesome works, with good results in ligue and C1 despite a lot of changes in his team. Don't know yet about his ability to drive a top 10 club in Europe, but he will be an awesome coach for sure. What he have done here and at Sporting is awesome.
There is 9 players that wasnt here last year in this team (Fabinho counting, since he was RB).
I would change him for nothing in this world (especially not bielsa :p )

Mbappe is faster than GJ?? I haven't watched a ton of him TBH. Surely he's not as agile?

He's surely faster and more agile, though it doesn't necessarily make him a better player. He's a better striker, but I doubt he'll ever have Jesus' playmaking qualities.

True I think Mbappe is a killer, he'll be an absolutely clinical goal scoring machine. While Jesus just has that "cliched" Brazilian magic about him and as he grows older I can see him get more and more involved into the teams play/build up and could essentially take a Griezmann/Messi kinda role.
