Kylian Mbappe

It would make Gundogan a busy boy, would definitely need help from the full backs and wingers
I think that midfield would work a treat in the home games against weaker opposition setting out for a nil nil. Needs more steel for the tougher games though.

It might work with different wing backs, who were more naturally suited to helping out in central midfield. It would be completely and utterly fucking bonkers with those two and a complete waste of their talents and strengths.

I still think we'll get over run mate. It could work if we have another centre mid and play 3421 like we did against Chelsea. I remember sane playing as a wing back and he was quality.

Say:
Ederson
Stones VVD Laporte
Sterling Gundogan Fabinho Sané
KDB Silva
Jesus/Mbappe

We can switch between playing 3421 where say fabinho is playing in centre mid with gundogan to 433 where he plays as a right back and move Laporte to left back.

This wouldn't help in the signing both Sanchez and another attacker and trying to get everyone gametime scenario though.

Oh okay....well shit... I'll let pep work that one out if we decide to get both
Could try this:

Moraes

Stones
Kompany
LCB

Sterling
Gundogan
Silva
Sané

Sanchez
Jesus
Mbappe

With Kev entering the rotation for the front three, we'd still need to sign full backs to cover the wide positions and a more mobile left footed centre half, a pivot for when we played 4-3-3 etc, don't think it's feasible.

We can't bench someone like kdb imo, can't see him being too happy if that was the case.
Personally I think we'll either get Mbappe or Sanchez rather than both, otherwise it'll result in players being unhappy if they're sat on the bench. That's not to say I wouldn't have both though.

There are so many games to play and we always get our fair share of injuries I'm not sure we'll have to bench anyone next season regardless of who we bring in. Rest maybe but not bench...

This is innovative. I approve :-)

Why get creative, then immediately dismiss your creative ideas?

I like it.

That's my conclusion too. It would be one or the other. Unless we get Mbappe and loan him back for a year ;}

My squad for next season:

Ederson, Bravo, Gunn
Hernandez, Fabinho, Maffeo
Stones, Kompany, Laporte, Kolarov, Van Dijk (If we can sell Otamendi)
Silva, De Bruyne, Gundogan, Delph, Fernandinho, Garcia
Jesus, Llorente, Alexis, Sane, Sterling, Roberts

This allows us to play both 4atb and 3atb

------------Jesus-------------
Sane - Silva - De Bruyne - Alexis
---Gundogan - Fabinho----
Laporte - Van Dijk - Stones
-----------Ederson-----------

If Silva/KDB are injured or need a rest, Gundo moves forward with Fernandinho/Delph/Garcia taking his place.

If Jesus needs a rest, Alexis goes up front with Sterling/ Roberts taking his place. I'm not too keen on Llorente but he's good in the air and would be on the bench most of the time anyway. Iheanacho and Unal are better off playing regular football on loan.

If we want to switch to a 4atb, Hernandez plays along with Fabinho/Maffeo at RB

Serg10Aguero, Tuesday at 2:13 PM

;)

If we sign both it would have to mean that Aguero is leaving. At the moment, with Jesus out (and Kelechi out of favour), we're short of an attacking player. With Jesus fit for a full season we might not need Sanchez. But any mid to long term injury to Jesus, Aguero (or his replacement), Sane or Sterling would leave us under strength.

If City aspire to be champions of England and Europe and build a legacy
from Pep, you can see why we'd build such as outstanding squad.

This is incredible...and normally you'd expect it to be because of a few goals off the bench dragging the average down, but he's only scored 1 of his 23 goals this season off the bench.

A little shoutout to Sterling as well, ahead of Ibrahimovic, walcott, aguero, coutinho, mané, Alli, Costa...

He is very good. He will be VERY expensive. I have a feeling a transfer record will be broken to get this kid.

Thanks, cool graph. I'll show it to everyone saying that Aguero is a superstar. Also, didn't expect Alexis to be that high. Wonder if there's similar stats related to % of chance convertion.
