Grammars had more or less gone by 1997, most under Thatcher. Labour banned new ones, but didn't force the existing ones to go comprehensive. No new ones for 50 years.

My 4 year old grandson can't even get into the primary school his mum wants. She got 3 options and not one of them was offered.

I'm not too sure of the relevance of using this photo, she always said she was on the remain side however once Cameron stepped down and she was placed in charge did you expect her to say "fuck the referendums outcome, i'm staying".

She did what the majority of the country requested of whoever was in charge.

To flip from being pro-european to trying to push through an unopposed hard brexit is a bizarre turn around from someone who doesn't even think it's in the nation's best interest. And yet Jeremy Corbyn can't be trusted to negotiate Brexit even though he has also agreed to do what has been requested and has also been a more consistent critic of the EU in the past. Theresa May's version of Brexit isn't being planned to take into account what's in the best interests of the country (i'm not even sure there's been much planning at all tbh), she's instead trying to satisfy back benchers and the Daily Mail in order to serve her own career ambitions. She's a liar and she also has an appalling voting record when it comes to ensuring equal rights for all British citizens. The whole thing's a mess and Labour/Lib Dems failure to come together and at least find some consensus that represents the rest of us also borders on the negligent.

Meanwhile, nobody seems to be talking about things that actually affect us every day anymore, like hospitals, schools and social care. The damage that will be done on those fronts in the coming years probably won't ever be fixed.

The reality is that Scotland is nothing more than a sideshow to most down south. You had your vote you decided to stay part of the uk. You get a very good deal and just because your leader jumps up and down like some demented spoilt child blaming everyone else for her problems doesnt mean the uk government who have to represent the whole of the uk has to respond every time. She gets far too much airtime compared to her share of the uk vote, a mere 1.4m people out of an electorate of 46m. She needs putting in her place with a scrapping of the barnett formula and making her and her nationalists party stand on their own two feet. Any fair minded person cannot reason against a fair share of the uk wealth . Unless of course you are Sturgeon and her cronies who want their cake and eat it.

The democratic will of the people was demonstrated when you lost the referendum, do you think its democratic to keep having referenda until you get what you want?
Once the vote was lost you remained part of the UK, therefore you abide by the will of the democratically elected government, the SNP do not have a mandate to do anything aside form spout about another referendum.. The SNP will win the vast majority of the seats again, that's nailed on but I suspect the Tories will win a few more too, that means the status quo remains, ie Scotland is part of the UK, you wont get another referendum on Independence mate, even if you win 100% of the votes in Scotland...

All Sturgeon has to say is she wants the best for Scotland, May wants the best for the UK, of which Scotland is a part after voting against independence.. Scotland could not survive on its own and will not be allowed entry into the EU on its own, the Spanish and French will see to that and only 27 votes will make that happen..
To sum up, what exactly do you think Independence will bring Scotland, without money from the EU and UK? please do not use the oil revenue argument either, even the most optimistic economist would put that to bed..

You have no more rights to an independence vote than the English do, that's a fact... Just for the record, if the English were given a vote in another referendum, I can guarantee, you would get your independence with a landslide victory...! How Ironic eh...!

You may think that, but you don't know that because nobody does yet. The Spanish have said they wouldn't oppose it. Why couldn't Scotland survive , the EU has a few's of countries the size of Scotland with no oil that do fine, because they aren't constantly tying to punch above their weight. Ireland is one.
