Daily Mail Article (Pep allegedly wants improved atmosphere)

Pretty simple. Just not have any tram leave until at least 10 minutes after the match is over. Then have more trams available so the crowd thins faster. Of course I doubt the club has any input on that. But I would imagine that if the club was willing to spend the money, they could get more trams dedicated to match day City.

I stay to the end also but sitting at the back of SS3 the queues to exit the stand and then onto the stairs are ridiculous. My friends who I meet after the game sit directly below me in level 2 and every match they have to wait. It is hard to fathom how the stand could be designed in such a way and I can fully understand why people leave early rather than get caught up in the crush and queue on the steep stairwells particularly if you are old or have kids.

Bad design that stand I agree.

Can see a media onslaught towards us and their target audience of knuckle dragging Rags & Dippers lapping it all up. Over the coming few days, I'd expect:
An un-named source close to the Club saying Pep has lost the dressing-room,
Pep reportedly deeply unhappy about the weather in Manchester,
Sergio, David, Raheem, Leroy etc etc want away from the Club,
Gabby is a Brazilian drug-dealer,
Joe reportedly has criticised City's small time mentality and spoilt rotten fans,
UEFA considering proposal to ban any football club founded in Gorton,
Gundog thought he was joining Stretford Shitehawks as they're the biggest and bestest team in the whole wide world.

Blah, blah, fucking blah. Hell, they might even throw in some rubbish about Balo for a laugh. Just watch the bile and bullshit from the media escalate over the next few days and consider their target audience masturbating wildly while reading it. Fuck our enemies, fuck the media and remember that publications like the Mail aren't worthy of wiping your arse with.

just asking do they still have buses queued up outside surly that would help bus companies crying out for punters and ready made crowd im sure used to catch in portland st and again after game back they didnt leave till final whistle goes

If the story is true, then it's a bit rich as neither of Guardiola's previous clubs are renowned for their atmosphere at home games. Regardless, the club aren't helping with the increase in corporate areas at the ground and regularly relocating people. You reap what you sow.

Perhaps he realises it's arguably more important in the Premier League to have a vociferous support. I think fans rub off on teams performances a fair bit more over here than most leagues. It's also probably just been blown up loads by the press.

How can you possibly refer to the Daily Mail and true story in the same sentence..haha!!

It's strange that there is little mention on Bluemoon regarding Pep's very positive comments today in his press conference...."I am very happy here and it is a pleasure to be here...this is a fantastic club and team".

Let's have a bit more positivity folks. After all we are the best fans in the world......aren't we????...haha!!!!.

You risk a ban if you are very positive on here.

Safe standing is still a way off in the Prem I suspect. But even if it comes in I can't imagine them having a second tier as standing let alone a third tier. Plus would it stop people fucking off on 80 mins anyway? I don't leave early so I don't know what would make those people stay till the end. Maybe some regular early leavers can tell us what would make them bother to stay to the end?
Firstly I always stay till the end..but I presume people leave early to avoid the traffic.I am sure the flow of traffic could be improved.addimtingly I don't know the answer to this problem.C.T.I.D.

What! Bayern do not have a good atmoshere. ? Not been have you ?

If they really do care about the atmosphere, then they could at least pretend to be interested by putting their own bums on their seats before kickoff 1st AND 2nd half.

They may have an atmosphere but its all carefully orchestrated , it was like being at Disney. Not what I would like to see at City

Never been to Disney. Not my scene. Have been to bayern. And the carefully orchestrated atmosphere sounded pretty good to me.

It is no coincidence that a lot of the best atmosphere is on the concourses pre game and at half time, where everyone is standing, jumping around and can have a pint. If you stick people in seats watched over by CCTV and over zealous stewards, with seemingly no end of offences you can get banned for, you get the atmosphere we have got. Increasing prices, all seater stadiums, too many rules and treating fan's on the whole like some sort of crime suspects while telling them they are customers has crushed all the spirit and fun out of going to a game. This has taken probably thirty years to achieve so they aren't going to reverse it overnight, if ever.

City fans get riled up, which is when they produce their best atmosphere anyway.

Almost like the club have orchestrated this, getting exactly what they want for the biggest week of the season so far.

Bayern.

When Real scored the 2nd at Bayern in the CL, the singing, support, and noise from their singing section behind the goal, and the stadium.in genetal went up and continued. We'd have gone quiet.

It was truly impressive to see and hear.

So on derby day if the Rags score, I expect our crowd to do something similar. Not a chance!
