Arsenal(FA Cup Semi Final) Post Match Thread

I won't be travelling down to Wembley for a semi again.
The FA wanted an all London final. They got it whilst fleecing us. As corrupt as FIFA imo.
Wembley is not what it used to be. Its used to often now. What happens if spurs get to the semis next year? will they be playing at home? what a joke.

Give me a fucking break, you kicked the shit out of dave and you injured 3 of our players that they had to go off and the ref bailed you out 3 times
Go gloat somewhere else

I wasn't gloating. I'm staying up to watch the highlights so I'll check the tackle on Silva however I was 80 metres or so away from that and it didn't look too tough from where I was viewing.

See my first earlier post yesterday after my 'sabbatical'.
I was feeling so gloomy with our form, I wasn't even sure I wanted to travel up to Wembley (which I hate) and I stopped posting on football forums.
However, I went more in hope than eexpectation assuming you'd likely stuff us.
But we were transformed today from gutless wonders to a team that actually, to my eyes anyway, seemed to want it more.
I was boiling in the sun today behinfpd the goal but high up enough to get a pretty good view.
My observations?
First half, I thought we defended well conceding space to you and understandably you had the best of it, making some good chances but nothing too clear cut. OK, it seems Sane's cross by a few millimetres was not out and maybe the goal might otherwise have stood but we were denied a clear penalty when Sanchez was flattened in the area. Silva got injured from what looked from a distance a pretty innocent challenge.
Second half and we started well, arguably playing the better football until Ramsey annoyingly got caught faffing around on the ball, loses possession and a punt down field leads to Aguero scoring.
But we did well to keep going and I feel deserved the equaliser. After that chances were going begging for both teams.
Actually, I did think we looked better than you in the last 20 minutes. City seemed laboured playing like we normally do passing the ball around our defence.
Good tactics from Wenger to pinpoint Navas as a weakness with many diagonal passes wide left to Sanchez who had much influence down that side.
Obviously, I'm biased but I thought on balance we deserved it today and wanted it more.
Wtf one disallowed goal. Struck the woodwork twice. Aguero pen? Granit Twatters foul on yaya for your 2nd. Piss off mate we weren't brilliant don't get me wrong but we were better than you and the challenge on silva was a hatchet job.

Also, Arsenal are not a physical team. In fact we are known for being soft and gutless.

We got very little going our way today. The ref let so much go they were able to hobble our players and not even get a yellow. The tackles on Siva and Sergio were particularly nasty. This and the crap decisions and the bad luck left me feeling flat all through the match. The outcome was inevitable after that Silva foul.

Their fans were plastic. Ours weren't. Kompany didn't get injured. Happy days.

Should have had a pen. Dick linesman stopped DeBruyne's corner after Silva dummied, then disallows a goal that clearly hadn't gone out.

Should have gone into half-time at least a goal up and far from far-fetched to say we looked like we could have made it 2 before half-time.

Oh and what led to one of their goals - ref giving them a free kick after Yaya completely obstructed whilst their player didn't have/go for the ball - what was that about.

Will you be on here when you lose the final and finish 5/6?

Yes I will, last thing I'll do after the Cup Final and then take 3 months off watching Kent be crap at cricket.

I reckon we will lose to a Chelsea because we always do lose to them (with one exception this season).

And we will likely finish 6th. So, yes it's Thursday football for us next season.

At least you have top 4 and I hope you beat United this week.

Given the decisions against you, Spurs, Liverpool and Chelsea we have had there is little chance we will be allowed to win on Thursday.

Slow build up, insipid display by most our forwards/wingers, baffling subs and a soft underbelly means we got what we deserved. Nothing. Really doubting Pep. The way it's going he will need another 500 million to improve us. Or is he the root of the problem? If we finish outside top 4 would the owners throw more money at it. Serious questions need to be asked of this season from top to bottom.
Cant deny its frustrating but I think if we hadnt have lost GJ we would be looking at a different scenerio right now.He was clearly a match winner and great contiubutor going forward. Ive never know a team to be crippled with so many injuries to there key players. One gets fit another goes down.
