Could've done with them winning yesterday so that they'd be safe, but hopefully we should have too much for them at home.

Not sure if Agueto or Silva will be fit though, which is a blow. If not, I'd go for this:

Caballero
Zabaleta
Kompany
Otamendi
Kolarov
Fernandinho
Toure
De Bruyne
Sterling
Sane
Jesus

We need a back 4. A few games ago the results improved with a back 4. Then Pep decides to experiment with Navas as FB. He did his best but he is not a FB.
A FB should be able to defend. - and be over 5'5".
We had 2 games over 'Pool and we still cannot overtake them.
Big Sam has built a team - who play like a team.' I still don't know how on earth we are still 4th. We do not shoot.Aguero is our only striker.
Will we be on here bemoaning the Palace result. - YES!

Willy

Navas
Vinny
Stones?
Clichy

Diniho
Yaya
Silva/Kdb

Sterling/Kdb
Jesus
Sane

Before i get slated I think kun is injured and Clichy and navas get in for there pace against the pace palace have on the wings.

I've managed to get off work to go to this, after today's comedy of errors, I really hope we can get a good result. Palace will lump the ball into the box at every opportunity. We need to be smarter and use the width and go forward faster with more directness. Finishing our chances is a must in this game as there will be few.

if silva is fit the first thing i would do is drop KDB...he needs a kick up the arse at present as he has been very poor...

Shame if Kun is injured as Id love to see more of him and GJ with either sterling or sane

please go to a back 4

IS stones anywhere near fitness?

Going to be very tough. They have pace and will be very dangerous on the counter attack, same as the Leicester game the following week. Pep needs to get the set up right here. Hopefully with Jesus back we will take more of our chances. I predict goals.

I know it's too late to experiment but if Navas can play rb/wb (debatable), why can't Delph play lb/wb?

Isn't he injured? He wasn't even on the bench at the weekend so I assumed so.

I would go with this if Merlin and Kun are both out. Who knows what Guardiola will do though, I've given up trying to predict.

Thought that Palace weakened notably when Sakho went off against Spurs, and again against Burnley they looked far less stable at the back. That said, we'll probably need Clichy and Navas at fullback to counter their pace out wide. They're not out of the woods yet, Hull and United after us, so it'll be interesting to see how Allardyce sets up for this one.

Hopefully Stones and Silva are fit for this one. Hoping to see Stones and Kompany at CB.

Navas------Kompany-----Stones-------Clichy
---------------Fernandinho
--------KDB-------------------Silva
---Sane---------Jesus--------Sterling

If no STones then Ota, and if no Silva then Garcia or Delph.

Palace are still in trouble because their last game is away at Man Utd, and their game after City is at home to Hull. If we beat them, and Hull beat them, then there is a small chance they could go down. But Swansea would have to take at least 7 points from 9 for that to happen. Hull would also have to pick up at least 5 points at the same time. They should be confident of staying up but have to take our game very seriously. If they get beat, then Palace v Hull will become a massive match for them
