It's Quiet - a new dawn

We're never signing any of the three mentioned. Neither will leave barca whilst still at the peak of their powers. Only feasible transfer is when they are past their best and back to South America for a swansong.

Bonnucci, Walker, Mendy, Fabinho, Sanchez. That's who i think we'll be after the strongest.

No way that we are signing Neymar, the days of us signing the rags cast offs are long gone, they did sign him last year didn't they :)

Messi for any money would be good business because it simply makes the announcement of us finally reaching the highest point. He will bring huge revenue and has 4 Ballon'd'or esque season left in him.

I've only seen Monaco against us and against Juventus, so I have little opinion formed on their players but I didn't think Fabinho was the kind of player Pep would need, he looks more physical and less technical. In that Monaco team, I think Thomas Lemar, Bernardo Silva, Mendy and Mbappe are the players that would fit in our system.

i'm certainly no expert either on them, seen the champions league games really. Mendy doesnt look the best defensively either but superb going the other way. Rose is never going to happen unfortunately, Alex Sandro would be difficult too, struggling for top left backs really.

Bernardo silva looks the best of the lot for me, Mbappe included but fitting him in would be the issue. Already have a Silva who is irreplaceable still for me. Over to you Pep

No, Tim Vickery thought Jesus might struggle coming over because he was a bit more immature, and City seemingly agreed considering they paid for his entire family to come over with him including his mum to keep an eye on him.

He also said that when Moreno had just been the standout player in the Copa Libertadores and G.Jesus had at the time done fuck all really, it wasn't until after we'd signed both that Jesus took off.

Vickery is a good journalist, and offers a lot of insight into what football people - explayers, managers etc. - think in Brazil, being a pretty well connected and successful journo over there. He's not a pundit and doesn't claim to be, and when he does give his opinion on things almost always reminds people of that and happily admits when he's wrong.

Ok Tim.

The word we will hear this year is austerity and be buying from lower leagues across the world in hope of finding a hidden gem. Bebe's younger brother is on the radar.
