Leicester post match thread

Huge sigh of relief after that second half performance. We had a big slice of luck today and about time we did after some of the crap decisions we've been on the receiving end all season. Major step towards a top four finish, and even top three which is still very much in our own hands. You never know if Spuds go into freefall in the last few games what about second? Ah well three points in the bag, and we move onto Tuesday night well done City not pretty to watch at times but job done.

The offside was debatable. If it was against us I would have wanted it. It was definitely a pen and they were unlucky. Not with the decision with the fact he slipped and he touched it twice. Madley was rubbish but he got the big calls correct. So pleased he spotted the double touch. Another ref on another day...

The whole point of 'not interfering with play' is one of the game's lottery moments. I think that if you had taken Sterling off the pitch for the ten or fifteen seconds whilst the game panned out nothing would have changed. Put him on and he doesn't change a thing that happened whilst he would have been sitting in the Family stand. He was nowhere in Schmeicel's eyeline so I just don't know what all the fuss is about. Offside position but not offside! Get over it Foxes.

And whilst we're on, WTF is the jug-eared,crisp-munching halfwit Linaker on about other than rewriting the Laws of the Game when it affects his team? Never has a smile been wiped off a face as quickly as it was with Mahdarse. YER CAN'T PLAY THE BALL TWICE AT A FREE KICK! It doesn't matter what the fuck the Law was meant for, yer pillock, it sez two touches and yer bolloxed. Madeleine was shit again for 80% of that game, which is his usual percentage.

great display again by the 1894 group. they bring so much colour and noise to the stadium.

Very big 3 points.

Individual defensive mistakes have really cost us this season. Otamendi slips leading to the first goal (wonderful strike). Clichy concedes a penalty that could of cost us 2 points (outside of box, but I thought it was in originally).

Like many games this season, we don't just concede goals, we give them away. Clichy being the number 1 culprit, Kolarov at LB, Otamendi, and even Stones (still learning) have all individually given away goals multiple times. Defenders in teams competing for the big trophies don't make these types of mistakes. The defense is more to blame for our season than the attack. Yes, we missed 100000 chances this season but we've also scored in pretty much every game. We can't expect to score 3-4 goals every game.

Today even at 2-0, I wasn't that confident and was praying we score another to seal the game. That shouldn't be the case. Thankfully we will improve the defense this summer.

Well, that was hard work.

Brilliant first-half, but poor second and we allowed them back into the game.

Vinnie MotM, but pushed close by Yaya, IMHO. Disappointed with the passing second-half, especially KdB and Merlin.

Still, a win's a win and it was great to stuff it to those twats!

Kompany and Sane were good. Agree we were very good 1st half and then went to pieces. I didn't think Leicester played that well, the game just got very scrappy and nervy. KDB had a stinker and I thought Jesus was very quiet. Don't agree about Yaya. Kompany can pass the ball as well from deep so I don't see what he adds to the team when he plays so deep and he is useless when a team breaks on us as leicester were trying to do. like playing with 10 men when we don't have the ball.

Yep thats the Narrative the media keep doing! Say that was us who got that penalty it be a talking point they'll be all over it like sterling supposed to be ofside not shut up about it
Looked like a pen to me although mahrez went down very easily. It was right on the line I thought. Leicester didn't deserve a point but we certainly got lucky with their pen. About time.

They didnt cry over the non penalties in our previous games v Leicester either, one last year in the draw at theirs and a few ones not given in our defeat this season at theirs, nor as u say coverage of their penalty today outside the area, but narrative is our goal shouldn't have counted

Missed seeing the penalty as was on way to work. But it did give me the experience of Alan Red Dipper Green creaming himself over the Leicester penalty being scored followed by Chris Waddle bringing him straight back down by shouting "Free Kick City. He touched the ball twice!"
