Yep.

But he fell into the trap of "the Tories have increased the debt" etc whilst ignoring the deficit reducing, it's totally unlike him.

I didn't ignore it; in fact I literally mentioned it. You've missed the point. The point isn't "oh Labour are SOOOOOOO GOOD for the economy", it's combating this absolute ridiculous notion that they're terrible for the economy and the Tories are some masterful businessmen.

She's the fucking head of state meeting another head of state in 2002. You think digging up photo's from 15 years ago is of any merit at all?
You're a busted flush and if you had a drop of humility you would retire from political threads for the foreseeable.

You guys are prickly when it comes to the establishment. You're always so big and brave on the outside yet servile and know your betters on the inside.

Grow a backbone.

List the Labour governments that have left the economy in a better state than the one they inherited.

No. Because they didn't "buy a bank" in two thousand and fucking two.

And they had "similar levels of investment" to the pre-Blair Tories in that period didn't they? Which you'd have seen I mentioned if you'd read the rest of the sentence.

But Brown was meant to be Keynesian. He should have run a surplus during the growth a la Germany. Then there'd have been no need to run up quite such a huge debt in 2008-10.

As I said before, there's a difference between a remortgage to build an extension and a 110% mortgage to fund a holiday in Florida.

Brown's public spending was as ideological as the Tory's austerity measures.

Why would people vote out a Government who is both investing in infrastructure and has a healthy economy?

That's awful logic.
So you accept Labour leave the economy in a mess with its "investing in infrastructure" and the Tories come in, mop up, get the economy on an even keel again and then pass the baton on for Labour to have another go at it?

Of course none. That's like asking why City have never sacked a manager who just won them the league. Because they'd just won them the league. You don't sack people who are doing a good job.
Hmmm. But Tory governments get sacked whilst doing a good job.

That's because they are seen as the nasty party but at least they can run an economy.

As the slogan goes "it's the economy, stupid"

I'm not arguing for a Brownite economy, and if you read Mandelson's book you can see that he essentially changed his economic philosophy because he didn't want people to like Tony Blair. Again, my argument isn't that Labour are masters of the economy. My argument is that Labour being terrible economists and the Tories not is one based on pointless and thoughtless stereotypes and it doesn't hold water.

But I like the fact you agree that Tory cuts are ideological rather than economic necessity.

Well I could go into detail but history tells me you will press that deflector button again so google is your friend if you are that puzzled by the difference. As an act of charity try looking at quotes from balaclava man and his second in command on the Irish issue over many many years. You should find plenty of complementary ones from both of them towards the IRA? Then look up the queens quotes about a **** of a dictator. You will probably find none.

Meeting a twat is sometimes a necessary evil but giving one a full wraparound because you sympathise with him is quite different.
