Explosion at MEN Arena/Victoria Station

I don't mean to be cynical and i'm always happy to give credit where it's due, but this story doesn't really make that much sense to me. The offer of counselling and a flight home would have been useful if it had happened whilst he was already out there and in desperate need to get home. As it was, this was three days after the event and the journalist concerned had still flown to Sweden of his own volition. Seem like a bit of an empty story designed purely to make someone look good.
I read it as the journalist had been out there for a few days and as we know news about those injured came out over a number of days but who knows. Maybe he knew she was fine but just wanted to get back asap to her.

I says that it happened ahead of him flying out. Don't want to get too nit-picky as i know in the grand scheme of things it isn't that important. Just think there's not really much a of a story there.

It's been a really strange week and despite the occasional difference in views, I think Bluemoon was kept clean of some of the filth I have seen elsewhere online. I'm living outside the UK at the moment but was at home over the weekend and went down to St Ann's Square to have a moment and pay my respects. As a non-Facebook user, I actually found it somewhat of a comfort to be on Bluemoon last week. Most of my friends and pretty much my entire family are in Manchester, and even though I could text them, I guess what i'm saying is that I felt as though Bluemoon was an extended community of home during the aftermath of the events last week.

Just seen the advert for this event and although I feel it will significantly help in showing the vermin terrorists we won't give in, a part of me feels its also part Shameless PR from the companies that operate in behalf of these music artists..

Record label PR dept: "quick, quick, get Chris Martin in on this tragedy, post on twitter a thoughtful quote, and sign him up to the tribute gig"

Record label ceo: "Yes, I agree, that will bolster his profile in the youth demographic tremendously and sales will shoot through the roof"

A bit cynical IMO, I don't particularly like any of the artists but I will have a bit of a soft spot for them from now on.

Aye I wouldn't want to see any of them live but it's in fitting with the style of music the people who attended the concert like so right kind of line-up for it in my view.

I guess it's sort of for those most affected but I'm not sure how many of the girls that had to run past the scene last Monday would feel ready to go to another concert so soon.

Anything that raises money for the victims is fine by me. Good on them all for giving up their time for free

I agree entirely. Not my scene but she aint just turned up with a bunch of nobodys either. Good on young Ms Grande for coming straight back. She was good to her word.

Well done to all those performers who are going to make the effort on Sunday. I hope as many people as possible who attended the original concert can make it.

Yes fair play to her. I would imagine security around the event will be huge.

Sorry not sure if this has already been posted, but just saw it in the news.

Father marches to Manchester Arena carrying anti ISIS sign http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...Manchester-Arena-carrying-anti-ISIS-sign.html

I kind of get the idea of deporting potential foreign trouble makers but not sure where or how you would even start with the home grown element. Where could they go? Is part of the problem that they know they are going nowhere and therefore the situation will ultimately just get worse?
