I'd be a bit worried at the amount of defending the two 8s would have to do to cover for Weigl's broken leg mate.
Bit of sticky plaster should do it

This i dont understand? typical supporter nonsens. Its not about the players. its about the team winning football matches. In all top teams there are many top players that play less than 15 games a season. You need a big squad to win trophies. Players understand they are part of a team and need to fight for their place to be part of a winning squadSomeone like Sanchez isn't going to be happy sitting on the bench, so I would expect Sane, Sterling, Jesus or KDB (not to mention Gundogan when he's fit) to be rotated out just to fit him in the Team on a regular basis, because I'm fairly certain Aguero won't want to be warming the bench either.
Signing Sanchez brings more problems than it solves unless we ship someone out. Sure, He's an upgrade on Sterling but he's not home grown which is another headache, as Sane, Jesus and KDB certainly won't be going anywhere soon.
And remind me how did that go down with Navas and Nolito?we had Sane and Jesus last season... Bernardo has replaced Navas, not like for like as i think we'll see him centrally but in terms of numbers he has and Sanchez would replace Nolito and Kelechi actually leaving us lighter in numbers but significantly better in quality. Last season we had Aguero,Kelechi,Sane,Sterling,Nolito,Navas and then Jesus in January, that's 6/7 for 3 positions, if all goes to plan this window we'll have Aguero,Sanchez,Jesus,Sane and Sterling next season, that's 5 for the same 3 positions (again, i'm convinced Bernardo will predominantly play centrally) that's easily manageable.
As i said previously, our bench at times last season was horrifically short of attacking options, now it won't be. Deadwood squad members will not litter the bench, instead we'll have proven match winners ready to come on and win us the game and show Pep they should start the next one. We also always seem to forget that not everybody will be available all the time, there will be plenty of injuries and suspensions.
thanks for this important post. (i was about time post the same) We do some care more about certain players emotions than our team and club? its BS nonsens. In all big teams there are plenty of top top players that play less then 15 games. if they dont want to be part a a top team then leaveWe have sacrificed domestic cups to moans from the fans in the last 2 seasons (last season especially) due to needing to rotate to keep players fresh for the CL and our back ups not being of a high enough quality. Now when we are trying to build a squad which would allow us to rotate without a drop in quality so that we can compete on all fronts, we get more moans that they won't be happy to spend some time on the bench. We can't win really.
IMO you buy the best that's available and then it's up to the manager to sort out.
-------Sanchez-----Aguero-----Jesus
----------------Silva-------Gundogan/KDB
----------------------Weigl
Bernardo wasn't needed imo.
Living up to his username with that one. You'll be remembered for that one!
"Hey, I know you were one of our best players last year Leroy but you're going to be a bit part player this year because we're spunking 50mil on Sanchez". Rather add the 50mil to whatever kitty we have lined up for a CM and go balls out for Veratti.

I have never forgiven the club's preposterous decision to sign Kompany and not stick with Richard Dunn, who could have played on into his 40's. The Sheikh is now meddling again, it seems. So who do you want for Sane's back up next season? Nolito? Another decent but not great player for 20M?
We probably shouldn't really have bought Bernardo Silva either as it might upset Silva, KDB or Sterling.
Actually we signed Kolo and Lescott, sold Dunnie and didn't play Vinny... we no longer have a rag secret agent in charge though.I have never forgiven the club's preposterous decision to sign Kompany and not stick with Richard Dunn, who could have played on into his 40's. True enough.Actually we signed Kolo and Lescott, sold Dunnie and didn't play Vinny... we no longer have a rag secret agent in charge though.
There's no logic in your argument. Last season's players weren't OK with it, and top class players are even less likely to be OK with it.Somewhat different circumstances. Nolito didn't play because he is shit. Navas played too much despite being shit. none of that potential front 5 will go months without seeing any action like Nolito, why? because they don't play like they're wearing iron boots or they won't play over 100 games without scoring. do you really think it won't be made crystal clear to all potential new buys and existing players of Peps rotation policy? He wants a squad not a team, he's made that clear and the board seem to be on board with it.The players will bee too. if they're not they won't be here when the season starts and somebody else will be. we will have 5 top class forwards vying for 3 positions come August.
Is not our problem is it? if they dont want to fight for thei place or feel they are part of a winning team. I only care about the club and winning. There's no logic in your argument. Last season's players weren't OK with it, and top class players are even less likely to be OK with it.
