Exactly. People need to realize that it's turning into a "true" squad game.
Whereby no one is supposed to be back up.

Yeah. Kompany is that good he can make average players look like world beaters next to him. Look how good he made Lescott look.

Are you being serious? A "prodigy"?

He'd have to improve greatly over the next couple of seasons to be anywhere near Kompany - and that's the level we require.

I hope he has a great season obviously.

The other half of the problem which nobody's talking about is that Kompany is good on the ball and our best playing CB. He plays progressive passes into the midfield finding Silva, De Bruyne or Jesus or Sergio. This relieves pressure on Yaya to do so all the time. This is something Stones and Otamendi aren't good at. Stones good at dribbling, but when hurried almost always goes back to the keeper. The 2 of them don't do well in build up play . This leads to us turning the ball over in the midfield more. We keep the ball longer and dominate possession more when Kompany is in the lineup. Also I like Otamendi but his lack of pace is an issue. When we played Pool Mane got past him with ease. Rashford almost did as well. VVD is quicker and by the looks of it decent and calm on the ball. Since we push so high up we need defenders with pace.

Stones hasn't been a professional for very long and this is only his 3rd season playing in the Premier League. He has struggled to adapt but there is real quality.

Highly unlikely in my humble opinion. We won't get all the CBs being linked and Stones will play CB. Frankly, I don't think we'll get any.
