It'll be lost on the youth of today tho
It's a shame though.....no matter what your age, it's comedy genius:

'how long till we land?'

'I can't tell'

' You can tell me, I'm a doctor'

'No, I mean I don't know'

'Can you take a guess?'

'........in about 2 hours'

'You can't take a guess for 2 hours?'

It's a stupid point to be discussing and there's some serious straws being clutched here. We hold every nation of any importance as allies, even if it kicked off with one of our current allies, Team America would look after us.
No non nuclear nation will be allowed to gain significant nuclear weapons anytime soon so as long as we all play nicely with our current allies we should be fine.

How can we elect Corbyn when we don't know if he would or wouldn't react to an entirely hypothetical situation which has never happened before and will probably never happen?

You're still missing the point as to why he's being asked this question.

It's about leadership at the highest expectations of public defense; would he be prepared to utilise the most important decision regarding national defence in the face of nuclear annihilation and so far his response has not been conclusive or satisfactory.
He's a personality who has been anti-nuke all his life, campaigned to get rid of them, yet could now be in a position where he would be expected to use them if provoked. A public refusal shows lack of leadership and, more importantly, eradicates their effectiveness as a 'deterrant' against anyone considering launching an attack of such magnitude. Like a pacifist joining the Army; "Would you unflinchingly use that weapon to defend others, even if it meant taking another person's life, with the aim of making others defer from the action they were going to take initially?"
"No."
"Then how can we expect you to defend the nation and it's citizens?"

No soldier joins the Army with the sole aim of wanting to kill people, but to deter those who would consider acts of harm and murderous aggression against others, to think again about their incentive by their sheer presence and the understanding that soldiers would be prepared to take their lives in retribution if they decided to carry out such acts of aggression.

No one's even talking about what their responce will be if aliens attack, that's the real hypothotical threat that's never happened, fuck them all, leaving us at risk like this.
