Don't believe VVD is anywhere near worth £50/60 million even in todays market but you pay what you need to to secure the best player possible. IF we were balls deep in for him, believing he's the best option and have missed out for whatever reason then that's a big disappointment. what we don't want is another summer of missing out on our top targets and settling for a lesser player, that's what we've done far too often over the last few years and it's cost us trophies.

That aside, If we're set on Hernandez from Athletico but have to wait until next summer, Pepe on a free for a year anyone?

The transfer window start really good with the signing of B. Silva and the rumors about Fabinho, Walker, Mendy, Ederson are all done deals or close to be done. Also the rumor about Sanchez want to join us and leave Arsenal. But now it feel diffrent. Fabinho is off, Levy want crazy amount for Walker, Sanchez may stay in Arsenal, Van Dijk choose Liverpool over us and it look like Ederson will never be announce haha.
Hope we will get our targets in the end though..
