Why on earth did they let Dianne Abbott on TV after her last radio interview. Appears the shadow home secretary has no knowledge of the Harris report and tries to wing it on Sky news.

Looks like an own goal in extra time.

Is that the reality that he met with representatives tat Ives of the UVF as well as the provost, or do you not want to hear about that as it may not meet with your convenient ideas and political persuasion?
Give over - you are just desperate to re-write the facts and reality of his past support for the IRA cause.

There may have been meetings, but I have used the words 'even-handed' and 'supportive' - he was most certainly not in any way even-handed and he certainly was only supportive of one side.

You can see just how even-handed and supportive the Unionists consider Corbyn to have been:

"Mike Nesbitt, the UUP leader who has taken his party out of the Belfast power sharing government and into opposition, said: “Some of the things [Corbyn] said in the past are deeply deeply offensive to unionists and to all those who suffered very badly, physically and mentally, at the IRA’s hands during the Troubles."

There is no amount of polishing you can do - it remains a turd

Considering that I am a Unionist with 19 years service fighting terrorism would suggest that I have not and will not forget how I feel.
Just because Mike Nesbitt from a party that stood on a joint conservative and unionist ticket not that long ago said something does not represent ALL within the Unionist community

Allegedly she's made a couple of appearences without telling them. McDonnell not happy.

All predictions in terms of seats seem to range from May retaining her current majority or a bit above down to a hung Parliament.

Any of those results and May won't be in charge of the Brexit negotiations

It would take some front for the tories to run a leadership election campaign immediately after the GE. The clock would still be running on Article 50, this time it might go the full distance needing a membership vote. Those putting themselves forward would be accused of putting their political ambitions ahead of the nation's interests. I'm not sure any of the serious contenders would have the nerve to do it.

So are you actually saying that in your view; Corbyn was clearly even-handed in his dealings with Republicans and Unionists?

His supportiveness towards the Republican cause is well-known - are you saying that he was genuinely supportive of the Unionists cause?

The staunch Unionists that I know do not seem to hold that view

Who let her near a TV camera?

I think many are missing the point when it comes to Abbott. The real issue isnt that she's so bad, its that Corbyn has so few alternatives to her. He would struggle to fill his cabinet, it doesn't bear thinking about who would be filling the non cabinet ministerial posts. It simply wouldnt be a fully functioning government

Just seen the car crash interview yet again.

Why lie?

Just say no, sorry i haven't read the report instead of pretending you have and trying to discuss its contents and making you and your party look pathetic!

And they might be, you answered with it being bollocks because no one in europe has chose it, well as I was talking about the uk after we leave so there is a chance it can be tried, it kinda fits that the EU isn't as a trading block that promotes capitalism gimna encourage internationalist universal socialism.

But the post UK can if it wants to.

I am talking in the world, socialism has been around years , where are all the countries in the world doing really well using socialist ideals as a model.

They'd all come back if there was a sniff at power, Abbott would last till the first widespread call for her resignation. Not that it's going to happen as I still expect a Tory majority.

She reminded me of Bridget Jones in the first movie when she's not got a clue what's going on and tries to wing it.
