Give over - you are just desperate to re-write the facts and reality of his past support for the IRA cause.

There may have been meetings, but I have used the words 'even-handed' and 'supportive' - he was most certainly not in any way even-handed and he certainly was only supportive of one side.

You can see just how even-handed and supportive the Unionists consider Corbyn to have been:

"Mike Nesbitt, the UUP leader who has taken his party out of the Belfast power sharing government and into opposition, said: “Some of the things [Corbyn] said in the past are deeply deeply offensive to unionists and to all those who suffered very badly, physically and mentally, at the IRA’s hands during the Troubles."

There is no amount of polishing you can do - it remains a turd
I've never known anyone so keen on trawling through turds to try and find a selective quote.

I find it VERY interesting how every audience on every TV debate is clearly very strongly left-wing biased. With constant "my Mum works for the NHS and it's been constant cuts, this Tory government is terrible", etc etc etc.

Whereas, the pollsters, who's very reputation depends on getting as accurate picture as possible, have consistently shown, and continue to show the Tories in the lead, i.e. a majority of people being in favour of the Tories.

So something is not right here is it. Either the pollsters who are experts on statistics, who are very careful in trying to make sure they get sample representative demographics in the right locations in the right numbers, are bizarrely managing only to question people with a Tory bias. Which would seem unlikely to the point of being impossible. All pollsters, all getting their sampling wrong?

OR, the BBC in particular are seeking to portray a left wing bias? Or perhaps for some reason, only a majority of disgruntled people turn up to TV show debates.

Either way, it seems incontrovertible to me that what is being screened every day, is NOT representative of the views of the public at large. Or the polls would not still be showing a Tory lead.

Oh dear.

Wrong. The Tories do not have a majority among those registered to vote (50% +1) and they will not have a majority on Friday, even if they hit the higher end of their expectations on seats.

Wrong. There is a progressive majority in this country, the sum total of progressives is greater than the total of number of Tories and arseholes.

On top of that there is a huge number of people who don't vote, who's political persuasion is hard to gauge and though they have no effect on the ballot box or who resides at No 10 they do effect everything else. When you sprinkle in single issue characters like UKIP supporters the waters get very muddy indeed, but what is absolutely true is that there is no majority for the Tories nationwide.

The pollsters changed their methodology after 2015 to take account of shy tories and students not getting out of bed. Perhaps they've overdone it?

Night of the long knives all round. However what are Labour going to do? If they lose they are still stuck with Corbyn unless he goes voluntarily, with all the resignations and the likes of Burnham going he has noone to replace his front bench with.

Meanwhile political correspondant on Sky just said something along the lines of

Dianne Abbott was intervied on the Harris report, if you havent heard of it dont feel bad, it seems she hadnt either.

Just when it looked lkke May had thrown it away has Abbott snatched defeat from the jaws of victory. Why would Corbyn appoint her? Doesnt reflect well.

What has been painfully evident is the dearth of quality in political leadership across both the main parties. Others will seek to point score by highlighting the inadequacies of individuals in the party they oppose, but I genuinely cannot remember a time when the quality across the board has been this low. If we truly get the politicians we deserve, then we must have been up to no good. :-(

Abbot no
Corbyn Yes

He had barely had a job in his life. Just been a loud mouth back bencher. He will absolutely destroy our economy, our security and immigration will go completely out of control. Do you honestly think at his age and with his cabinet they have a team fit to start brexit negotiations? Of course they don't. The conservatives have started to turn the economy around.

Can't wait to place my vote.

May has failed on security and Immigration.

Corbyn obviously thinks she's up to the job though and that judgement surely should be questioned.
Indeed it should. If Corbyn was to immediately announce that he'd sacked Abbott from the shadow cabinet,
his standing, and probably the polls would get a great boost. I've not heard even the most partisan Labour supporters
have a good word for her, so it just shows that Jezza's judgement is seriously flawed.
Either that, or she can open a ketchup bottle with her tongue, and the memories just won't die.

No, this is one of those rare absolutes, they've failed by their own standards.

If Corbyn and the racist mathematician get in we might as well give up on immigration. We will end up with tanks on our streets within 5 years and the likes of you will be to blame.

Please see sense.

Fair points. I wasn't considering the fact that there won't be a majority in the population, and probably not amongst voters. Of course Labour didn't have a majority similarly, last time they were in power, so it cuts both ways.

She knows where the bodies are.

In your opinion.

Immigration - She has failed to get numbers down as she always promises.

Security - How many more attacks can be made whilst under the Police and MI5 watch ?

She has more than failed on both accounts - and it makes me laugh when people point to Corbyn for 'looking' weak on these issues, he couldn't do any worse if he tried.
